FA Inter-League Cup: Jersey hit seven to reach the second round
The Jersey FA Combination booked a spot in the second round of the FA Inter-League Cup thanks to a 7-0 win over Somerset County League at Springfield.
Luke Campbell scrambled in an early opener from a Sol Solomon corner to set Martin Cassidy's side on their way. Midfielder Adam Trotter doubled the advantage midway through the half following a mazy run from Fraser Barlow.
Karl Hinds converted from the spot to make it 3-0 before Barlow netted the fourth to all but secure the home side's place in the next round.
Two quick-fire strikes from Solomon further extended the lead, with substitute Luke Shirley scoring in the closing moments to round off the victory.
Jersey will travel to Amateur Football Combination in the next round, with the tie to be played by 30th November.
