Are you passionate about football and keen to take your involvement in the game to the next level? The Jersey Football Association is excited to announce an Introduction to Refereeing course, perfect for those interested in becoming a qualified referee.

This opportunity will be overseen by Trevor Massey, a former Premier League official with years of experience at the highest level. Trevor’s insights and knowledge will offer participants a unique understanding of the role, from mastering the Laws of the game, to making decisions on the pitch.

The course is open to anyone aged 14 and over, looking to take their first steps in refereeing. Delivered across three days, the course will cover essential aspects of refereeing, including match regulations, the Laws of the game, positioning, and practical refereeing techniques.

Course Dates:

• Friday 15 November 2024: 6pm - 8:30pm (Springfield Stadium)
• Saturday 16 November 2024: 9am - 4pm (Springfield Stadium)
• Sunday 17 November 2024: 9am - 12:30pm (Venue TBC)

Participants will need to attend all three sessions across the weekend.

For just £25, this course will give you the knowledge and confidence to take your first steps onto the field as a referee. Spaces are limited, so don’t miss out on this exciting chance to learn from one of the game’s most respected officials. The £25 fee includes the cost of FA referee registration for the 2024-25 season (registration alone is normally £20), basic equipment (whistle, notebook, cards), and the delivery of the course.
