Jersey FA appoints new U16 and U18 managers

Steve Coutanche and Luca Caviglione will lead our U18 and U16 sides, respectively.

The Jersey Football Association (Jersey FA) is pleased to announce the appointments of Steve Coutanche as the manager of the island’s Under-18s boys’ representative team, and Luca Caviglione as the new manager of the Jersey FA Under-16s side.

Coutanche brings a wealth of experience to the Under-18s role, and has a proven track record of helping young talent transition into senior football. He is also coaching the same age-group this season with the recently-formed Jersey Bulls Academy.

Coutanche will take charge of the upcoming match against Northern Ireland Schoolboys at Springfield (Tuesday 4 February) and the U18s Muratti fixture in Guernsey on Sunday 6 April.

Meanwhile, Caviglione is a familiar face in Jersey’s football community, coaching the U16s of St Lawrence, where he is also the club’s Academy Director. He will lead Jersey’s U16s into the home match against their Guernsey counterparts on Sunday 30 March.

Jersey FA Chief Executive Officer, Tim Pryor, said: “Steve and Luca are top additions to our representative set-up. Their knowledge, experience, and passion for the game will be invaluable as these age-groups prepare for the fixtures ahead in the second half of the season.”
