Jersey FA launches Club Impact Fund to support local clubs

The Club Impact Fund has been set up as part of our 2024-2028 Business Strategy to extend our support for clubs.

The Jersey Football Association (Jersey FA) is excited to announce the launch of a new one-off funding scheme designed to assist local clubs in delivering impactful projects that align with the Jersey FA’s Business Strategy priorities.

Clubs across the island are now invited to apply for grants of up to £2,500 to support a wide range of initiatives, including facility improvements and work that promotes diversity and participation in the sport.

This new Club Impact Fund is part of Jersey FA’s commitment to investing in grassroots football and ensuring that clubs have the resources they need to thrive.

Tim Pryor, CEO of the Jersey FA, said: “The launch of this scheme underscores our dedication to the growth and sustainability of football in Jersey. We want to empower and support our clubs to get moving on their projects that’ll in turn benefit the game. We encourage all affiliated clubs to take advantage of this opportunity.”

Clubs are required to “match-fund” their projects, investing at least as much as they receive in JFA funding.

The scheme is designed to support projects that align with the five core objectives outlined in the JFA’s recently released Business Strategy (2024-28):

  • Improving playing choice and opportunities
  • Delivering equal opportunities for women and girls to play
  • Building more, and improving existing, facilities
  • Tackling poor behaviour
  • Developing a valued network of volunteers

Clubs are eligible for funding if they are affiliated to the Jersey Football Association and have completed their England Football Accreditation application for the current 2024-25 season. Clubs with 1* accreditation can access up to £1,000 funding each, while 2* rated clubs can apply for a maximum of £2,500 each.

The full key information pack can be downloaded here.

The application process is now open, until the end of February 2025, and the Jersey FA encourages clubs to submit proposals that demonstrate clear alignment with the JFA’s strategic objectives.
