WALKING FOOTBALL
In partnership with Alex Forbes Offshore, Hepburns Insurance, Jersey Sport, the Jersey Community Foundation, Connect Me, and Snickers Just Play.
"BECAUSE Scoring goals never gets old"
Walking football is still a relatively new form of the game, encouraging older adults or those with injuries the opportunity to either get back into the sport or continue playing later into life.
As the name suggests, players must walk, and concede a free-kick if they are spotted running. Tackling is not allowed.
It’s a great way to meet new friends and keep fit. Whether you want to play competitively (for the island's representative side or in our Walking Football League) or socially just for fun, the Jersey Football Association caters for both.

Alex Forbes Offshore / Hepburns Insurance JFA Walking Football League
Played on Sunday mornings at Springfield, the Alex Forbes Offshore / Hepburns Insurance JFA Walking Football League gives islanders with a competitive streak the chance to enjoy the sport while battling for league points.
Four inaugural teams kicked off the new league in January 2020; St Peter, St John, Rozel Rovers and First Tower United. Since that time, four other teams have joined the league; St Pauls, Portuguese United, Grouville and Trinity.
Players can register to play for their club in the Alex Forbes Offshore / Hepburns Insurance JFA Walking Football League via the walking football section of the general Player Registrations and Transfers page.
Anyone over the age of 45 wanting to play in the league should contact info@jerseyfa.com or one of the clubs direct.

The Jersey representative walking football team, also sponsored by Alex Forbes Offshore, competes in tournaments against sides from all over the world. In 2023 they reached the quarter final of the inaugural World Nations Cup at St George's Park.
RECREATIONAL FOOTBALL
Snickers Just Play Centres
For those looking to enjoy the social side of walking football, without league points being on the line, the JFA runs hour-long recreational sessions three days a week working in partnership with Jersey Sport.
The FA Snickers Just Play Centres are based at Springfield, with outdoor and indoor options dependent on the weather;
- Tuesday 12.30pm – 1.30pm
- Thursday 9.30am – 10.30am
- Friday 9.30am - 10.30am (launches 12 March 2021)
Interested islanders can turn up, pay and play without booking in advance but should call the Jersey FA office to ensure the session is going ahead (01534 730433).
We will need to record some initial information about you ahead of your first session. This can be done by completing and submitting this form.
You can also make block payments online to avoid having to regularly write out cheques. These block payments can be made via this CityPay page.
WOMEN'S ONLY WALKING FOOTBALL
Our Just Play Women's Only walking football is ideal for women over 30 looking to get back into playing, or looking to play for the first time.
Sessions take place on Tuesday evenings (6pm-7pm) at Oakfield.
This is a great opportunity to meet like-minded people and get active.
You can find out more about the benefits on the Walking Football Association website.
