Women's Football
The women's game in Jersey
Women of all abilities, from players just starting out in the game to those who have proudly represented the island, are welcomed with open arms by the Jersey clubs with female adult (16+) sides.
Jersey Wanderers, Rozel Rovers, Sports Club of Jersey and St Peter all have teams competing in the Jersey Women’s Division, the Sylvia Spinola Cup, Women's Jersey FA Plate and the Women’s Jersey FA (Colin Welsh ) Cup. St Ouen offer small-sided football sessions on a Friday evening at recreational level.
Competitive matches are usually on a Sunday morning, with the clubs also holding one or two training sessions each week. Whether it's just for fun, or if you take your football seriously, the local teams are all keen to hear from new players.
Before you can play for a local side in a competitive match you will need to complete the Player Registration process.
The Jersey FA also has a Women's Representative Team which enters competitions such as the Island Games and the Southern Counties Cup, and competes in the annual Women's Muratti fixture against Guernsey.
Our Just Play women's walking football sessions are ideal for those over the age of 30 looking to get back into playing, or looking to play for the first time. Women's walking football sessions are held at Oakfield on Tuesday evenings.
