Youth & Minis Club Football

Opportunities for young players with Jersey clubs

Most of the Jersey FA affiliated clubs offer some form of youth football. Many enter teams into the JFA Combination League (U11s-U18s) while others run Minis teams for U6s-U11s.

Fixtures are generally played on a weekly basis with Minis friendly matches on a Saturday morning and JFA Combination youth football played on Sundays.

Small-sided formats such as 5v5, 7v7 and 9v9 are at the forefront of delivery within our youth leagues, and the future of the game is designed to increase the number of touches of the ball, develop confidence and skill in 1v1 situations while assisting with the long term player development of young footballers.

If you would like to sign up your child to a local club, please contact the club direct (for U11-U18s) or the Minis Co-ordinator (for 5-11 year olds) in the first instance.

reporting concerns

If you feel that an adult is mistreating someone under the age of 18, there are various confidential ways you can report this.

By "mistreating", we mean behaving towards under-18s in a physical or verbal way you believe is threatening or makes the young person feel scared or bad.

Find out more and watch a short film that the FA has produced, voiced by Jersey's Graeme Le Saux, explaining how to report your concerns. Of course, everything is completely confidential.
